How to install & use TangleTags

Say goodbye to the dreaded “sheet burrito.” TangleTags keep your fitted-sheet corners bundled together in the washer and dryer, so your laundry has room to move, wash, and actually dry.

Setup is simple: install one tag on each corner, assemble the cinch band once, then use the quick clip-and-wash routine every laundry day.

Part 1

Install the TangleTags

Do this once. The tags stay on your sheet from now on.

1

Find a sheet corner

Grab one corner of your fitted sheet near the elastic hem. You'll install the tag right on the corner, so it can pull the corners together during washing and drying.

2

Place the tag and disc

Put the main Tangle Tag on the outside of the sheet. Then place the small solid disc on the inside, directly behind the X-shaped opening on the back of the tag.

  • Disc on the inside
  • Sheet fabric sits between the two pieces

3

Push the disc through

Using your thumb, press the disc firmly from the inside of the sheet. Push the disc — wrapped in the sheet fabric — through the X-shaped opening on the back of the tag.

4

Flatten and tug to lock

Once the fabric-covered disc is inside the tag, flatten it so it sits parallel inside. Then gently pull the fabric around the outside of the tag until it's taut. That tension pulls the disc into the tag's internal groove and locks it on securely.

5

Repeat on all four corners

Install one Tangle Tag on each of the four corners. Once all four are on, you're ready to assemble the cinch band.

Part 2

Assemble the cinch band

You only need to do this once, ever.

1

Line up the clips

Hold the two clips side by side. Make sure both face the same direction, with the small opening levers on the same side — that's what makes them easy to clip and unclip together on laundry day.

2

Loop the band through the clips

Pinch one end of the elastic band into a small loop. Push that loop through the large open top section of both clips.

3

Make the knot

Take the rest of the band and feed it completely through the loop you just pushed through the clips. Pull gently to form a loose knot around the top hooks of the clips.

4

Pull down to lock the knot

Hold both clips firmly together with one hand. With the other, pull the long band straight down. The knot slides through the narrow channel and pops into the small circular holes at the bottom of the clips. Once seated, the band is locked in and ready.

Part 3

Attach the band to your Anchor Tag

top right corner = anchor

Pick one installed tag to be your permanent Anchor Tag — the one you return to every wash.

1

Loop the band through the Anchor Tag

Take the free end of the elastic band and pinch it into a small loop. Push that loop through the plastic loop on your Anchor Tag.

2

Pull the clips through

Take the assembled clips and pass them completely through the elastic loop. Pull tight to secure the band to the Anchor Tag. That's it — your tags are installed and the band is attached.

Laundry day

How to use TangleTags

With everything installed, the wash-day routine is quick: gather, thread, clip, wash.

1

Gather the sheet corners

Grab all four corners of your fitted sheet and bring the tags together in your hands.

2

Thread the clips through the other tags

Starting from your Anchor Tag, take the clips and thread them through the plastic loops on the other three tags.

3

Clip back to the Anchor Tag

Bring the clips back to your Anchor Tag. Pinch them open together and snap them onto the Anchor Tag's loop to close the circle. Your sheet is bundled and ready for the washer and dryer.

Frequently asked questions

Do I install TangleTags every time I wash my sheets?

No. The tags stay installed on your fitted sheet, and the cinch band is assembled just once. On laundry day you simply gather, thread, clip, and wash.

What is the Anchor Tag?

It's the one tag you permanently attach the cinch band to. Each wash, you thread the clips through the other three tags and clip back onto the Anchor Tag.

What does the disc do?

The disc locks the tag onto the sheet. Once it's pushed through the tag and the fabric is pulled taut, the tension seats the disc inside the tag and holds it firmly.

Why do the clips need to face the same direction?

When both clips face the same way, the opening levers line up — so you can pinch them open together and clip them back onto the Anchor Tag in one easy motion.

Can TangleTags go in the washer and dryer?

Yes. They're designed for your full laundry routine, washing and drying included.
